Memory Craft 9700 was designed to bring together all the best features in one sewing machine. You get the precision stitching Janome is known for, easy navigation and design layout on a colour touch screen and the built-in, two-step conversion from sewing to embroidery you can't get from any other brand. One minute it's a sewing and quilting machine, the next it's an embroidery machine. No separate embroidery unit to have to fit.

Professional-Style Embroidery Without The Clumsy Attachment

 

Other brands of embroidery machines require separate embroidery attachments that can take up to a half dozen steps to attach. Not Janome. Just two steps take you from sewing to embroidery:

The MC9700 works with Customizer 10000 Plus embroidery layout software, Digitizer 10000 embroidery design creation software, and all of our designs available on CD-ROM. Simply transfer your designs via an ATA PC Card (also called a Type II flash memory card).

Creating unique embroidery designs is so simple. Just touch, drag and drop. If you can point, you can use even our most advanced on-screen editing functions. Bring in your designs from a variety of sources: PC Design Cards, ATA PC Cards, or select from 90 built-in designs.
Edit, combine and add lettering right on screen. The large, bright Touch Screen has the same user-friendly navigation as our top-of-the-line Memory Craft with easy menus and instructions. You can even select which brand of embroidery thread you use; the MC9700 can specify colour numbers for Janome, Robison-Anton, Madeira or Mettler threads.

 

The Only Janome Machine With An Easy-Access Upper Door

 

The MC9700 has an upper access door on the left side of the case. This new feature provides easy access to the top end of the machine and makes it easy to change the bulb.
