The 1008 is a traditionally built mechanical sewing machine that provides all of the basic functions needed for general purpose sewing - and at an excellent price. Quality has not been compromised as for example it has the CB shuttle found in many of the more expensive machines.16 stitch patterns including the useful reverse feed utility stitches. Decorative stitches, automatic buttonhole, are built in as standard.The metal casing provides extra robustness for harsher environments and the accessory box slides onto the free arm to give a larger sewing area.

	Variable stitch width & Length Settings can be coordinated to obtain an even and well balanced stitch; giving better results on a wide range of fabrics. The fine adjustment on the stitch length setting is great aid when making satin stitches or buttonholes. Stitch width is infinitely variable from '0' up to 5mm.
	5 Needle Positions Variable needle positioning makes piping and zipper insertion far easier, and allows you to change the line of sewing without moving the fabric - great for edge stitching.
	Auto 6 stage buttonhole Get perfect buttonholes on any fabric. 6-step buttonhole delivers even, adjustable density on both left and right beads as they are both sewn in the same direction.
